On 17th December 2024, I had the privilege of being invited as a guest speaker at GITAM School of Business, Visakhapatnam. The session, titled "Rising Above: A Woman Entrepreneur's Journey of Success," was an opportunity for me to connect with young, aspiring entrepreneurs and share my personal journey as the Founder & Managing Director of Femi Rides.
During the session, I spoke about three critical aspects that have shaped my entrepreneurial journey:
Opportunity Identification:
I emphasized the importance of recognizing opportunities in challenges. I shared how I identified the market gap that led to the creation of Femi Rides and how critical thinking and persistence play a role in turning an idea into reality.
Building Resilience:
Resilience is the backbone of any entrepreneur’s success. I discussed my challenges, setbacks, and the invaluable lessons I learned along the way. The message was clear: failures are stepping stones to success when approached with a growth mindset.
Adaptability for Success:
The world is dynamic, and businesses must constantly adapt to thrive. I shared examples of how being flexible and embracing change enabled my business to scale and cater to evolving needs.
The engagement from the students was exceptional. Their questions and eagerness to learn demonstrated their entrepreneurial spirit and hunger for growth. It was incredibly fulfilling to witness their passion and curiosity for innovation.
Being able to share my story and insights at GITAM School of Business was a rewarding experience. I hope my journey inspires others, especially women, to take risks, rise above challenges, and pursue their entrepreneurial dreams with confidence and determination.
To all future leaders and entrepreneurs: Believe in yourself, identify the opportunities around you, embrace resilience, and stay adaptable. The journey may not always be easy, but the rewards are worth the effort.
